Thankful Thursdays--yeesh..it's been a week already!

It's been a long week of being busy at work and fighting some colds. The little one and I have both been sick...no fun.

I'm thankful for my daughter. I realize this may seem like an obvious one, but I'm thankful for a lot of the things I take for granted far too often. I'm thankful she is a relatively healthy child. I'm reminded like a slap in the face at times how lucky I really am to not have to face some of the struggles parents with sick or disabled chidren have. Those stories break my heart, and my prayers always go out to them.

I'm thankful she saved me. As a 20-year-old girl, I wasn't responsible or safe with myself or anything else for that matter. All that mattered was drinking and dancing and partying...and while all those things were fun...having that baby saved me. Who knows when I really would've straightened up and how. I believe every single thing happens for a reason, and Chloe was the reason for me.

I'm thankful she is so loving and caring. More times than not she will ask me how my day was when I pick her up from childcare. That simple question can erase all my stress of the day. She also has the habit of every once in awhile to just give me a hug or a kiss out of nowhere. I realize she's still young and those days may be numbered soon, but I cherish every single one of them.

I'm thankful she is my comedian. Making funny voices, faces, dancing around like a maniac, singing at the top of her lungs and tickling me. She has the ability to make me smile when I feel like crying. And nothing can melt a mother's heart more than the sound of her child giggling. That is the best sound I've ever heard.

I'm thankful she's mine.

Thankful Thursdays, what a GREAT concept! And Chloe is an AWESOME thing to be thankful for. :)

I am thankful (on a Monday, lol) for reading this blog and giving me the idea of Thankful Thursdays!

Thanks!
