Oh, geez.

Chloe has always taken an unusually long amount of time to get up and going in the morning. When she was just a baby I thanked my lucky stars to have a newborn sleep so well. "Oh, yours gets up before 6 every morning? Not mine, she sleeps till at least 9..." Well that's all coming to bite me in the rear.

This morning was pretty much no different than every other morning. I'm up at 6, try to wake her up at 6:30, then again at 6:40 and so on, and so on until it's 7:05 and I'm screaming "we have to go!!" I honestly didn't realize we'd already be doing this. I thought I really had some more years before all the shaking and screaming to wake up happened. *sigh*

Well she's finally downstairs and dressed and just looks plain confused, playing with her fingers. Finally after a few minutes of silence, she says "Mommy, it took me so long to get ready this morning because I was thinking about something." Yeah right...even though it is true the girl can't do too many activities at one time, let alone talk and move.

"A couple kids at school said if you point your middle finger straight up in the air it means a bad word."

What??! At 6? I have to explain this to a 6-year-old?? Can't I teach that to her when she's learning how to drive?

Well I pretty much copped out anyways and said it is something bad. Don't do it. End of discussion. Eh, but that doesn't work so much with a child...she asked so many times on the way to childcare which bad word it meant, that I was this close to just telling her.

I'm sure she'll learn in first grade. At least it'll save me the trouble.

Lol...been, there done that! It's sad how young they learn these bad things!

Oh, Aiden hasn't asked that one yet, but I'm sure it's coming.

Nice block, mommy :)
