I saw this floating around some other blogs and have decided to participate. MckMama started ‘Not Me Mondays’ to highlight the crazy, funny, honest things that happen weekly. It’s easier to deny the action actually occurring and it’s a good opportunity to remind myself that being the perfect mama is not only impossible, it’s boring ;)
I did not decide being 10 minutes late to a swim class was too late, and we should just stay home for one night.
I did not forget to pay the gas bill on time, but yeah, told the guy I did (hey…it was only a day late..)
I did not daydream crazy excuses why I’d need to leave work early even once this past week.
I did not tell the princess we’d snuggle and watch a movie, and then fall asleep at 8 pm on Friday. Then, wake up around 10 pm from the princess crawling over me to turn the TV off.
I did not dread going over to my mom’s to help decorate her tree. I also did not find myself singing along to Christmas music and instantly feeling warmer while there.

I did not let Aiden watch TV for an extra half hour (or more) because I told him we'd decorate the tree and now I don't feel like it, so I'm keeping him distracted until bed time.
Um... I'm a day late but I did not let my daughters have sweet-tart candy canes for breakfast this morning....
2 days late, I did NOT just eat a whole bad of peanut butter filled keebler elf cookies in...oh...3 days.
