Life getting in the way

I haven't blogged much. (Not that I really have a following, but hey, I don't mind 'talking' to myself..) Life has just been busy busy, and when I think of things to blog about I don't have time, and when I do have time, I blog about nothing--see last few posts.

I've officially hit the 50 lbs off mark and it feels gooooood!! The numbers on the scale keep getting lower for me, and bigger for the Pork Chop, so all is well. The Princess is keeping us on our toes with softball (her team is 5-0! Awesome!) and school. She's turning 8 (!?!?!) Saturday and we have a weekend full of parties planned. Those parties are keeping me thoroughly stressed but at least it's keeping my mind off of my first baby turning 8... :(

Life has gotten in the way a bit for blogging, but I wouldn't want it any other way. A old co-worker of mine at the restaurant I worked at for 5 years, passed away yesterday. Details are still a little sketchy, but it seems he may have fallen and broke his neck. He was doing just an everyday activity, and is now gone. I hate it when bad, awful things make you think a little more about what's important, but it really does make you not take anything for granted. I am thankful for my healthy babies, my health, my family and friends, and don't ever want to seem ungrateful for all I do have. Weight is not the most important thing in the world, and neither is any of the other things I feel negative towards at times. All that matters right now is right now. The present. And hope for the future. Hug your babies, tell your friends and family you love them and how much they mean to you.
