Who is this woman?!?

Last night after work, I turned into a mad woman. A baking, cooking, cleaning mad woman. While I'm sure they are enjoying the benefits, the Guy and Princess are still confused.

It started off with making dinner. Not really a feat in itself. I decided to make baked penne. Yum.. Well, while the noodles were cooking, I thought, "Hmm, I don't really want to sit here and watch the water boil. Maybe I should go ahead and cook some chicken for tomorrow night."

So, the chicken cooked. And as I found myself watching the water start to boil and the chicken turn white, I thought of something else I could make. I had a ton of oats and some blueberries in the freezer..Oatmeal blueberry muffins were next.

The princess couldn't figure out what the heck we were eating for dinner. Muffins? Chicken? Pasta? And was even more confused when I told her I was making the chicken for tomorrow.

2 batches of muffins, plus cooked and chopped chicken, later, we sat down to our meal of penne and green beans. I realize tons of mommy bloggers cook and bake above and beyond this amount all the time, but to me, this was quite an accomplishment.

Dare I say the nesting may have taken over? I haven't heard any complaints....

Lucky girl, I never hit the nesting phase with Ian. My family would have been ever so grateful :)

If you run out of things to do, I could give you a list...you know, just to help you out!

I don't know who these tons of mommy bloggers are that cook and bake on average more than that...but it sure isn't me... Wish it was. Great job, and I wish I could come have dinner at your house!! :) Sounds delish!

Sounds like a good time to me! I enjoy cooking, as long as the recipe isn't TOO complicated and it tastes good. How were the muffins?
